The survey, done by several economists and people involved in the distribution of internet based business concluded that the contribution the internet has for the overall GDP is … the spectacular 10%. Such a number is worthy of comparison with the construction industry or the retail industry in the Kingdom and definitely tells a lot about the growing business opportunities not only in the UK, but throughout the world too.
The general research conducted revealed that the English online business owners are particularly involved in spheres like sales and marketing. These areas of online business development are the main branches of income for the internet based industries and reveal that for one pound being imported in the UK internet business organisations, almost three pounds are exported. A fascinating number that highlights the strength of the British web based businesses.
Another flattering for the online trade is the increasing employment rate. In the Kingdom, more than 250,000 people are involved in the web based business which highly contributes to the overall efforts of the government to fight unemployment. Such a factor is quite welcome for institutions like the Customs and Revenue services which are now collecting taxes from home based workers who are actively involved in the online business structures and support services. This is what is even more important for the web based business organisation - they not only earn quite a lot of financial resources for the Brits, but also generate quite a lot of money for the government which is becoming a leading aspect in its development and support by governmental structures.
